For avoidance of doubt this is not a call for competition at this stage, the purpose is to advise the market of the forthcoming procurement of London Borough of Tower Hamlets Wapping Dock Realm contract and to invite potential suppliers to a virtual event to discuss a new exciting opportunity to undertake works within the Public Realm.

THE Wapping Dock Realm contract is for the provision of maintenance of Horticultural and Water Features including the cleansing of Parks and Open Spaces south of the Highway Wapping E1 encompassing water features within Victoria Park

The contract will also be procured in line with the Parks and Opens spaces strategy, Bio Diversity Action Plan, and all relevant existing and future parks specific strategic documents in line with Green Flag best Practice standards

Included within the scope of the contract is

• The cleaning and maintenance of public space landscape areas and features

• The routine cleaning of water features, including dredging, draining, and recharging of systems,

• monitoring recording and reporting of water consumption and water quality, and the implementation of measures relating to these issues

• The checking, recording and reporting of safety inspections in relation to equipment provided for the safety of the public

• The basic maintenance and operation of water pumps, pipes, weirs, liners, sluices, valves, sumps, filters and other mechanical and electrical devices associated with the water features

This contract is designed deliver the highest quality service available in line with , British and European Standards, sound and accepted best practice implicit in the Specifications and public/user health and safety.

The event will be held on 9th April 2021 - Organisations wishing to attend the event are requested to register interest by emailing Matthew.Twohig@towerhamlets.gov.uk or via the portal by no later that 12 Noon on 6th April 2021.
