two.1.4) Short description
The purpose of this tender is to appoint an appropriately accredited wholesale distributor(s) to provide a range of licensed Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) products for use by the Live Life Better Derbyshire (LLBD) Stop Smoking Service. The LLBD Stop Smoking Service offers a 12 week programme to smokers and a regular supply of NRT is a key element to a successful quit programme. The contract will enable the Council to purchase NRT products directly from wholesaler(s) at a discounted rate.
The products are in 2 lots:
Lot 1 Nicorette or equivalent
Lot 2 NiQuitin or equivalent
Wholesale bidders can bid for both lots.
The contract award will be split into two lots with an award to one successful wholesaler per Lot.
The contract is for 3 years with the option to extend for a further two 12 month periods, with a contract start date of 01 November 2022.

Derbyshire County Council will incorporate a minimum 10 calendar days standstill period at the point information on the award of the contract is communicated to the relevant economic operators. Debriefing by the Council shall be in accordance with the Public Contracts Regulation 2015 (as amended) (the Regulations). Such information should be requested from the addressee in Section 1.1. If an appeal regarding the award of the contract has not been successfully resolved the Regulations provide for the aggrieved parties who are of the opinion that they have been harmed or are at risk of harm by a breach of the Regulations, to take action in the High Court (England, Wales and Northern Ireland).
