Work is well underway on a redevelopment at Coventry University which will transform the teaching and student experience in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities. The project will provide high-quality studios and workshops for film, photography, printmaking, wood, metal, plastics, ceramic faber clay and digital education.

The new complex will also be open to the public with a gallery space, café and events atrium where students, staff and visiting artists can showcase their work to members of the community.

The project provides a direct point of contact between the local community, the university, and its industries allowing the city, its residents and visitors to engage with the creative work Coventry's students are producing. It will also aim to inspire diverse audiences and participants locally, nationally and internationally with new ways of engaging with creative practice and education.

Key to the success of the building will be audio visual solutions that will support teaching and learning and enhance the student experience.

The solutions required will provide solutions in teaching spaces, in meeting rooms for use by staff and students and in public areas to provide digital signage.

The redevelopment project is being undertaken by construction firm McLaughlin and Harvey. Coordination with McLaughlin and Harvey will be key to ensure that passive infrastructure, provided through the main contract by McLaughlin and Harvey will fulfil the connectivity requirements of the audio visual solutions.

This tender is a call off against the NEUPC Audio Visual: Supplies, System Design, Installation and Maintenance Framework (AVI2005NE) and available only to suppliers on the West Midlands; Lot 4a: Large Contracts. Only suppliers listed on this framework and lot are permitted to submit a tender.
