National mandated changes by College of Policing in how Forces should deliver PPST, has led to a requirement of significantly more space than is available at Staffordshire Police. A new venue has therefore been acquired, adjacent to the Police Weston Road Headquarters, for use to carry out all Public and Personal Safety Training (PPST) for Staffordshire Officers and Staff. Following its refurbishment (taking place April - June 2023), the unit will require kitting out with specialist foam matting for the floors and walls, along structures and furniture to allow for the safe mock-up rooms to be utilised in training.
