two.2.4) Description of the procurement

The Service will provide refuge-based, housing-related support to women and their children who are escaping domestic abuse, enabling women to secure accommodation (often in a new area) and empowering them to manage their new home independently.

The Support Provider will enter into appropriate agreements with the RSL and/ or the RSL’ Managing Agent, as appropriate.

The service will work with users to help them manage their home and develop their independent living skills e.g. domestic skills, budgeting etc. It will work with them to develop healthy lifestyles and take an active part in their community through a focus on employment, education or leisure.

The service will work with service users to develop an exit strategy to move on from the refuge into more stable housing ordinarily within a 6-month target.
