Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (HPFT, the Trust) and Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust (HCT) are looking to commission a company to provide face to face Resuscitation Training for their staff across multiple sites in Hertfordshire, Essex and East Anglia
to meet needs of staff in developing and maintaining competencies specific to Resuscitation whilst ensuring safety and quality of care.
The selected provider must have the capacity to deliver upwards of 300 training sessions a year across a range of sites covering approximately 6 counties in the East of England.
HCT & HPFT wish to contract a company to provide training to ensure staff are competent to provide Resuscitation ((Immediate Life Support (ILS), Basic Life Support (BLS) and Paediatric Basic Life Support (PBLS subject to role and client group)) . The objectives for this training are those identified by the UK Resuscitation Council as meeting the requirements of the Core Skills Training Framework Standards (2021).
Companies must hold up to date Resuscitation Council Instructor status with at least 3 years NHS experience of providing training for the courses they intend to train including BLS, ILS and PBLS.

The provider must have experience of delivering a large multi stakeholder service, providing the capacity to deliver the training numbers required from your existing workforce with specific reference to the healthcare sector where possible.
Resuscitation trainers must be Registered NMC nurse, registered HCPC paramedic or IHCD Ambulance Medical Emergency Technicians.
The Resuscitation trainers must be up to date with Resuscitation qualifications and teaching qualification and able provide evidence of up-to-date CPD.
You do not need to provide your own training premises, but training equipment will be required in most instances. The Resuscitation training provider will supply the Resuscitation equipment to cover ILS, BLS and PBLS, as agreed and required, laptop and projector.
