Devon County Council (DCC) would like to invite providers to attend upcoming engagement events in relation to future commissioning of:

- Education placements for children and young people with special education needs & disabilities (SEND) and statutory Education, Health & Care Plans (EHCP's)

- Alternative education support services for children and young people in Devon

We will be supporting two events on Tuesday 11th March 2025 within the Committee Suites at County Hall in Exeter.

It is essential for providers to attend this event if they are intending to provide educational services to children and young people in Devon for DCC.

Please note that this event is not for discussion on any operational queries or other queries that current providers may have.

Devon County Council would like to invite providers to attend upcoming engagement events in relation to future commissioning of:

- Education placements for children and young people with special education needs & disabilities (SEND) and statutory Education, Health & Care Plans (EHCP's)

- Alternative education support services for children and young people in Devon

Devon County Council will be supporting the following two events on Tuesday 11th March 2025 within the Committee Suites at County Hall in Exeter.

Event 1, Tuesday 11th March 2025, 9.30am to 1pm

The future commissioning of alternative education provision services with Devon County Council.

- This event will be a mixture of short presentations and workshop style activities, discussion, and collaboration.

- This event is intended for providers offering packages of alternative education provision services or support for children and young people.

- This event will look at the future design and longer-term commissioning model the Council will use to buy services from this market and opportunities for us to work together on this.

Event 2, Tuesday 11th March 2025, 2pm to 5.30pm

The future commissioning of bespoke education placements within the independent sector for children and young people with Education, Health, and Care Plans with Devon County Council.

- This event is intended for the following settings: - independent schools, independent special schools and non-maintained special schools and special independent post-16 provision. This includes both Section 41 approved and non-Section 41 approved providers.

- This event will be a mixture of short presentations and workshop style activities, discussion, and collaboration.

- This event will look at the future design and longer-term commissioning model the Council will use to buy services from this market and opportunities for us to work together on this.

Please note lunch will not be provided, but there is a cafe on site at County Hall where refreshments can be purchased. Spaces will be limited to 2 representatives for each organisation.

These events are intended for DCC commissioners to gain information and knowledge regarding the specific services from providers delivering them, with this in mind if you wish to attend, please join the event aimed at the services you are currently delivering. As we develop further there will be opportunities in the future where we will combine both services to jointly look to the future.
