Thames Water Utilities Limited intends to award one or more Framework Agreements for the supply of Pipes and Fittings and other associated equipment directly, or on its behalf by its contractors.

The products will be suitable for use in clean water and waste water applications. There are six lots proposed for the agreement:

Lot 1 - Ductile Iron Pipes and Fittings

Lot 2 - Polyethylene Pipes

Lot 3 - Polyethylene Fittings

Lot 4 - Polyethylene Barrier Pipes and Fittings

Lot 5 - Polyethylene Electrofusion Fitting

Lot 6 - Concrete Pipes and Fittings

Suppliers may apply for all or individual lots. Thames Water reserves the right to enter into a contract or contracts for the provision of all or any number of lots. Thames Water reserves the right to make no award following the procurement.

Ductile Iron Pipes & Fittings for installation within the clean water and waste water network. Products are delivered across the entire Thames Water Region. Pipe sizes range from 80 mm to 1 800 mm but not limited to Pipe Fittings include but not limited to, Bends, Tee, Blank Flange, Flange Socket, Flange Spigot, Taper, Flanged Pipes & Duck Foot Bends.

Fittings will also include Tape that provides resistance to damage during handling and backfilling, anti-corrosion, highly resistant to mineral acids, highly impermeable to water, water vapour and gases. Used for the protection of buried, exposed or immersed pipes & fittings.

Thames Water Utilities Limited will incorporate a standstill period at the point information on the award of the contract is communicated to tenderers. That notification will provide full information on the award decision. The standstill period, which will be for a minimum of 10 calendar days, provides time for unsuccessful tenderers to challenge the award decision before the contract is entered into.

The Utilities Contracts Regulations 2016 (SI 2016 No 274) provide for aggrieved parties who have been harmed or are at risk of harm by a breach of the rules to take action in the High Court (England, Wales and Northern Ireland).
