two.2.4) Description of the procurement

The following line should be included: ‘This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) intention to award notice. The awarding of this contract is subject to the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award. The publication of this notice marks the start of the standstill period. Representations by providers must be made to decision makers by 16 February 2024. This contract has not yet formally been awarded; this notice serves as an intention to award under the PSR.’

Key Criteria:

A. Quality and Innovation – The provider brings quality, learning and innovations from the services they deliver nationally and, where suitable, incorporate them in the service they deliver in North East Essex
B. Value – They have consistently over a period of time delivered a valuable service within the budget allocation
C. Integration, collaboration, and service sustainability – The Provider works closely with the Current Community Audiology Service provider and the local Hospital Acute Audiology team feeding into a Hub their ongoing work and striving to improve and deliver the best possible service to their community
D. Improving access, reducing health inequalities, and facilitating choice – The Provider has set up locations throughout North east Essex for ease of access service of the community. Monitoring the demand and increasing access as and when required. They employ local staff permanent and Volunteer staff to deliver their support and encourage patients to become volunteers to pass on their learning and experience.
E. Social Value – The use of local facilities, a varied choice of locations to support ease of access and use of local workforce all add to the social value that this provider brings to this contract

All Key individuals at Section 6 completed and signed ESNEFT Procurement Declaration of interest Forms. All individuals external to ESNEFT have followed their own internal governance. At all meetings attendees are/will be asked to declare any interests.
