two.1.4) Short description

The Apprenticeship Coordination Office (ACO) who sit within the Cabinet Office centrally deliver commercial and contract management support for all aspects of Apprenticeships training to Civil Service departments.

ACO wish to explore and test the marketplace appetite for this potential future requirement by seeking expressions of interest from certified Apprenticeship training providers who are interested in delivering a range of Apprenticeships across Central Government.

It is currently envisaged that the requirement will be divided into 8 lots, one for each of the below Profession areas.

Lot 1 Ops Delivery

Lot 2 Business Admin

Lot 3 HR

Lot 4 Finance

Lot 5 Commercial

Lot 6 Policy

Lot 7 Project Manager

Lot 8 Digital

However, ACO is currently considering expanding on the above lots based on the following new Professions areas which will be subject to confirmation so consequently the total number of Lots may change.

Lot 11 Economist

Lot 12 Legal

Lot 13 Engineering

Lot 14 Transport and logistics

Lot 15 Protective services/Health & Safety

ACO will be looking for potential providers who can provide sufficient national and regional coverage for the proposed requirement.

two.2.4) Description of the procurement

The purpose of this notice is to invite interested providers to participate in a Virtual Market Engagement event in the following weeks.

The aim of the event is to explore the proposed Apprenticeship delivery model and providers will have the opportunity to discuss their ideas, thoughts and suggestions directly with ACO and department representatives.

The event will cover the following topics:

Current service delivery

What we anticipate changing to, and why

Proposed procurement route to market

An opportunity to discuss and ask questions

Please be aware that prospective providers will need to express an interest via email to cshr.apprenticeships@cabinetoffice.gov.uk by 12 noon on Tuesday 16th March 2021 and the email needs to include your name, position, organisation and contact details and the names and positions of other colleagues wishing to attend.

Further details regarding the agenda for the event will be made available nearer the time.

This is a prior information notice (PIN) does not formally bind Cabinet Office to proceed with any procurement exercises and is purely for market engagement purposes. In the event that the Cabinet Office decides to proceed with any procurement processes pursuant to this PIN, a separate contract notice will be issued.

Providers who do express an interest may be requested to provide information as part of the pre-procurement engagement phase. Potential providers who do not express an interest will still be able to submit bids for the tender in relation to this PIN when it is released.
