The objective of this PIN is to invite suppliers to further 1:1 market engagement sessions in relation to the RIMNET Nuclear Monitor Network procurement. The purpose of the sessions will be to learn from market expertise, finalise a deliverable specification and confirm the market’s capability to deliver the requirement.
BEIS requires suppliers to sign and return the attached NDA by COP Monday 14th February, so that background information (e.g. full specification, Q&As from the market engagement survey sent in November 2021, monitor user manuals, monitor data displays, API Bridge specification, breakdown of service components which will need costing) can be shared. We would also like to advise suppliers that all sessions will be recorded to enable us to address supplier questions and finalise the specification.

two.2.4) Description of the procurement
BEIS is the Lead Government Department for civil nuclear emergencies in the UK and operates the national network of radiation monitors.
The procurement is to manage and maintain an existing estate of radiation monitors to an agreed service level that ensures BEIS has an effective solution to radiation monitoring across the UK.
The objective is to leverage new technologies to improve the UK's radiation detection capability around civil nuclear sites, as well as maintain the support service for the existing national network of monitors. The competition is planned as one lot which will include the procurement of new assets to augment the existing network, and the procure a support and maintenance service for both new and existing monitor types in the network (and their associated data communications solutions). The terms of the support and maintenance service will include (but not be limited to): monitor fault response and rectification, repairs, calibrations and performance reporting.
