We are keen to hear from suppliers who may be able to offer some or all Unique Device Identification (UDI) by use of radio tags (RFID) functions or support functions for the implementation or benefits realisation of Track and Traceability of Surgical Instrumentation and Medical Electronics Equipment.

two.2.4) Description of the procurement

We are keen to hear from suppliers who believe they have solutions that can meet the requirements within this advert. Interested suppliers, or groups of suppliers, are requested to submit an initial PowerPoint style presentation (max. 12 slides), covering the following as a minimum:

o Brief company introduction/overview

o Overview of the solution on offer

o Key features and unique selling points of the solution

o Implementation and maintenance resources: typical delivery resources required

o Indicative charges of the proposed solution

o Contact Information for liaison and enquiries

o Case study / reference site (at least one), preferably with the UK health service

Suppliers must submit their responses via the ProContract e-tendering portal by 10am on Monday 29 March 2021. Any responses received after this date shall not be used.

Suppliers who submit a response may be invited to a presentation to a group of Trust stakeholders, provisionally scheduled to take place on 6 May 2021. Any suppliers who are invited to present should be informed during the week commencing 26 April 2021.

Suppliers can be assured that whether or not they participate in this stage (Invitation to present/hold face-face discussions) will have no influence on any subsequent formal procurement. The sample of suppliers selected will aim to improve the Trust’s understanding of the pros and cons of different overall approaches.
