two.1.4) Short description
Lincolnshire County Council (LCC) are looking for a supplier to provide a suitably licensed waste transfer station (WTS) within 6 miles of the centre of Lincoln, Lincolnshire.
Current waste materials that will be received by the WTS include mixed dry recycling (MDR) and paper and card collected from kerbside wheelie bins.
LCC may require the WTS to provide service resilience by accepting kerbside residual waste along with mattresses and residual waste from the household waste recycling centre in Lincoln.
The WTS shall also receive separated food waste from kerbside collections commencing 01/04/23.
it is anticipated that the tonnage shall be 15,000 - 20,000 tonnes per year, though this tonnage is not guaranteed. The WTS will be able to accommodate collection of waste by articulated vehicles.
Expressions of interest shall be submitted via the Pro-Contract Due -North portal no later than 18/03/22 at 13:00.
Organisations who express an interest are also asked to complete a pre-market engagement questionnaire published alongside this PIN notice in the Pro-Contract tender box. Please complete and submit your completed pre-market engagement questionnaire through the Pro-Contract messaging portal no later than 18/03/22 at 13:00.
LCC may wish to carry out further market engagement in the near future. Any further engagement activities shall be communicated through amendments to this PIN, or the issuing of a new PIN.
