The Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023, Paragraph 10 - The Most Suitable Provider Process is being used to procure this service. This notice will be live for eight working days from the date of publication.

Southampton City Council is intending to commission a Children and Young People's Mental Health & Therapeutic Service to provide therapeutic guidance and support to enable delivery of an effective Local Authority children services, specifically supporting the work of the Children Looked After (CLA), Young Peoples Service and Specialist Assessment Service teams.

It is anticipated that the service staff will be specifically embedded within the Council's Children in Care, Fostering, Fostering, Families First and Young People's service.

The service will be part funded by the Council and part funded by the NHS Hampshire & Isle of Wight Integrated Care Board. The service will include the provision of a mixture of clinical support, coaching, formulation of care and support plans, training for staff and carers and direct therapeutic input to children.

The aim is to improve and promote the emotional health and well-being of Looked After Children, vulnerable adolescents on the Edge of Care, children open to early help, and Care Leavers, including those in the Staying Close Project. This will support the stability of placements and increase CYPs capacity to engage in education or employment.

The contract terms if for 3 years, and the total anticipated contract value is £1,410,300
