seven.2) Information about modifications
seven.2.1) Description of the modifications
Nature and extent of the modifications (with indication of possible earlier changes to the contract):
1. In addition, to the originally specified works / services, the extra work associated with the SeaScapes Coastal App.
2. The Price shall be increased by £40,000 exclusive of VAT, but otherwise inclusive of all other costs incurred by the Contractor in providing such additional works / services.
3. The Contract end date is 30th June 2024.
seven.2.2) Reasons for modification
Need for additional works, services or supplies by the original contractor/concessionaire.
Description of the economic or technical reasons and the inconvenience or duplication of cost preventing a change of contractor:
The project needs to be extended in time to end of June 2024.
In addition, there is some extra 3D modelling work required to complete the wrecks side of the apps work being done. It is anticipated this will be under the 10% of the original contract value of £450K. There are a couple of smaller pieces of work which while covered under the existing budget will take into early part of 2024 as it involves a school and community group finding the available time to create some mosaic work for a seat at Crimdon. In addition, at Horden station, there will be required to be signage installed and that requires planning permission once the signage has been designed.
