NHS Nottingham & Nottinghamshire CCG would like to invite providers to attend a Virtual Market Engagement Event regarding the provision of a Children & Young People’s Emotional Wellbeing and Mental Health Early Intervention Pathway.
Early intervention is defined as identifying and providing early support to children and young people who are at risk of poor outcomes, such as mental health problems, poor academic attainment, or involvement in crime or antisocial behaviour.
The Long Term Plan (LTP) (2019) outlines objectives to increase community mental health services for children and young people, with national access targets set to monitor performance. Access performance has improved in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire from 25.3% in 2018/19 to an end of year forecast position of 27.76.5% in 2019/20, however, this remains below the national 34% target. The LTP specifically sets out the following:
• Ensure that all children and young people aged 0-25 can get support when they need it, in ways that work better for them, through a comprehensive offer that reaches across mental health services for children, young people and adults.
• Continue to develop services in the community and hospitals, including talking therapies and mental health liaison teams, to provide the right level of care for hundreds and thousands more people with common or severe mental illnesses.
• Increase access to support for children and young people.
The CCG would like to invite all potential bidders to this event, so that they can be informed of the details of the service and future procurement.
