Sports Services (SS), in conjunction with the Athletic Union (AU) and its 63 Sports Clubs, offers an exciting range of sporting opportunities designed to enhance the student and staff experience.
Performance Sport, under the banner of ‘Team Newcastle’ encompasses our Sports Clubs, has been ranked top 10 in the British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) for the last four consecutive years.
Newcastle has 16 BUCS Premier League teams in 2021/22 who compete at the highest level within the HE sector.
Our Sport and Exercise Science degree provides a strong scientific foundation in sport and exercise-related science.
It is therefore important that the clothing provided to staff, sports teams and to students for both competitive and recreational wear portrays and supports this strong prestigious image. Our Sports Clubs aspire to be recognised with a clothing range associated within the sports industry both in terms of sporting achievements and the sports kits they use. The University want to ensure staff are proud to wear the uniforms we provide.
Newcastle University is seeking to work with a multi-sport kit, clothing and accessories Supplier to develop a sports clothing brand at an affordable price for students that is:
• easily identifiable within and externally to the University
• compliant with the brand of both Newcastle University and Team Newcastle
• suitable for competition and training.
We are looking for a Supplier with a proven track record and reputation for high quality, performance and recreational sports clothing for:
• Sports Services
• Sports and Exercise Science
• Estates grounds staff
• The Athletic Union
• Newcastle University Students Union
• Customers/students ordering directly

The University will incorporate a standstill period at the point information on the award of the
contract is communicated to tenderers. That notification will provide full information on the
award decision. The standstill period, which will be for a minimum of 10 calendar days, provides time for unsuccessful tenderers to challenge the award decision before the contract is entered into.
