HEIW commissions both pre-registration and post registration qualifications for both the future and current NHS Wales workforce. Through undertaking the review of education, HEIW identified a requirement to procure Level 4 Healthcare Support Worker (Nursing) education.

This Procurement governs the provision of Healthcare Support Worker Level 4 (Nursing) Programme. The qualification awarded at the end of Programme is a Higher Education Certificate. The appointed Education Provider(s) will be required to work collaboratively with the Employer to ensure Healthcare Support Worker Students working environment can support the achievement of practice outcomes. The Education Provider must have the authorisation to award academic Higher Education Certificate qualifications in relation to the Programmes which are the subject matter of this Procurement. The Education Provider must ensure the Programme maps to Level 4 of a HEIW Commissioned Pre-registration Nursing Programme (inclusive of all fields of nursing) in Wales in order that Healthcare Support Worker Students can enter Level 5 of a HEIW Commissioned Pre-registration Nursing Programme (i.e. Credit Transfer).
Lot 2 is an All Wales Distance Learning provision for Level 4 Healthcare Support Worker (Nursing) Programme.
