Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) have an aging fleet of High Pressure
Breathing Air Compressors located around approx. 40 GMFRS fire station premises, which are
coming to the end of their life and will require replacement over the next 2 to 4 years.
GMCA on behalf of GMFRS are seeking proposals from suitably qualified providers to offer suitable equipment to meet this requirement.

The intention is that GMFRS will replace between 5 and 10 of its existing breathing air compressors over the
next two years, with possibly a further 10 compressors over the following 2 years.
The proposed replacements would take place as follows:
5 x compressors ordered/replaced during 2021/22,
5 x compressors 2022/23
Possible replacement of a further 10 compressors in years 2023-2024 & 2024-2025.
(with the option of additional compressor replacements throughout the duration of the contract).
