the context of substance use recovery. Key features include:

• Integration with Substance Use Services: Employment specialists work as part of the

multidisciplinary substance use team, ensuring seamless coordination with treatment

plans.

• Person-Centred Approach: Support is tailored to the individual’s goals, strengths, and

readiness, with no prerequisite of sobriety or abstinence required to participate.

• Rapid Job Search: Emphasis on quickly connecting individuals to employment

opportunities rather than prolonged pre-employment training.

• Employer Engagement: Building relationships with local employers to identify job

opportunities and address potential concerns about hiring individuals in recovery.

• Time-Unlimited Support: Ongoing assistance provided both pre- and post-employment,

including job coaching, workplace adjustments, and relapse prevention strategies.

• Holistic Support: Addressing barriers such as transportation, childcare, legal issues, or

health needs through referrals and partnerships
