Hertsmere Borough Council (the ‘Council’) is currently out to procurement for the provision of Design and Build contract for 26 apartments in Borehamwood over two sites. Hertsmere Developments limited is seeking a contractor for two separate sites located in Borehamwood, namely Clarendon Gardens (located off Grosvenor Road) and Eldon AvenueHertsmere Developments Limited (HDL), a company wholly owned by Hertsmere Borough Council, will develop the site. Hertsmere Developments Limited (HDL) will be seeking tender submissions for the options below;i) Clarendon Gardens scheme as a standalone projectii) Eldon Avenue scheme as a standalone projectiii) Batching the two schemes as one single project run under a single contractProposed tenderers will need to confirm that they can provide submissions for all three options.Both sites are currently occupied by existing buildings and Hertsmere Developments Limited is looking at an enabling contract to undertake demolitions on the Clarendon Gardens site ahead of the main development works. Demolition of the existing garages at Eldon Avenue will form part of the main works.Clarendon Gardens: Construction of new construction of 15 nr new apartments in 2 separate blocks (3 storey / 2 storey) with associated external works and drainage. The scheme has a gross internal area of 1,275 m2 (13,727 ft2). The estimate build cost for the Clarendon Gardens scheme is £2.936m (excluding design fees and professional fees)Eldon Avenue: Demolition of existing garage blocks and hard-standings, construction of 11 nr new apartments in single block (3 storeys) with parking, associated external works and drainage. The scheme as a gross internal area of 916 m2 (9,958 ft2).
