two.2.4) Description of the procurement

The UK Atomic Energy Authority's (UKAEA) Double Beam Box (DBB) Project is reviewing the need to order a supporting frame structure (316L) based on an existing design. The system sees significant loads in operation caused by vacuum, temperatures and flow forces and has had extensive analysis to justify the design. The Step model shows current design, drawing updates currently in progress.

Welding required to meet UKAEA standards, welding book approval required prior to commencement of welding.

Potential suppliers are requested to confirm if they are interested in tendering for the above requirement and provide a Rough order of Magnitude with estimated lead time for the Project as a whole.
