This Voluntary Ex-Ante Transparency (VEAT) notice relates to Glasgow Life's intention to enter into a co-operation contract with British Cycling in connection with the hosting responsibilities for the delivery of the 2023 UCI Cycling World Championships in Glasgow. Glasgow City Council and Glasgow Life are strategic public sector partners in the bid for and the hosting of the Championships and will co-operate with British Cycling in the delivery of certain aspects of the sport competition management of the sporting competition to be held in Glasgow.

Glasgow Life have operational responsibility to deliver a number of world championships in Glasgow as part of the 2023 UCI Cycling World Championships. This has been agreed with 2023 Cycling Worlds Ltd, the company set up to manage the overall delivery of Scotland’s hosting of the inaugural UCI Cycling World Championships in 2023 (the Championships).Glasgow Life intends to enter into a co-operation contract with British Cycling in connection with the sport competition delivery for 5 world championships. The contract will set out the terms on which Glasgow Life will co-operate with British Cycling in connection with the organisation and staging of the world championship disciplines.
