The current DPS for Laundry (Including Specialist PPE & Decontamination) expires in August 2023.
YPO will be seeking the appointment of providers to a new solution which will be available to the Emergency Services and Wider Public Sector.
It is anticipated that the new solution will be a DPS for a period from 01/09/23 to 31/08/27. Please note that these dates are not definite and may change at YPOs sole discretion.
It is anticipated that this solution will have multiple providers covering 3 categories.
The new solution will cover:-
• PPE Laundry (Specialist Laundry and Maintenance of Structural Fire Fighters PPE Ensemble)
• Contaminated Laundry
• General Laundry

YPO will incorporate a standstill period at the point of notification of the award of the contract is provided to all bidders. The standstill period will be for a minimum of 10 calendar days, and provides time for unsuccessful tenderers to challenge the award decision before the contract is entered into. The Public Contracts Regulations 2015 provide for aggrieved parties who have been harmed or are at risk of harm by a breach of the rules to take action in the High Court (England, Wales and Northern Ireland).
