Maintenance / testing / repair to be provided strictly in accordance with the manufacturer's recommended maintenance procedures, using OEM parts, where necessary.
Initial period of contract to be 5 years, with a potential extension of up to a further 2 years, with a total maximum value of £200,000.

Explanation:
A tender was performed by the Business Services Organisation Procurement & Logistics Service which included for this requirement, however it was unsuccessful. Only one bid was received and it was not compliant with the published requirement.
AJ Hurst Ltd is the sole agent in Northern Ireland for maintenance of these systems and is therefore the only company capable of performing the service and maintaining/ repairing the equipment in line with OEM requirements.
Consequently, Belfast Health & Social Care Trust proposes use of Regulation 32 (Use of the Negotiated Procedure without Prior Publication).
