The works contract consists of the supply, installation and fit out of an existing room inclusive of hardware and software to create an immersive classroom. WAES ambition is to create an immersive classroom experience where students can imagine themselves in the workplace be that carrying out/installing, retrofit or green energy solutions to domestic properties or delivering healthcare in a virtual hospital ward or childcare in a nursery setting. The immersive classroom facility will be used for a range of curriculum areas, students will have the full immersive experience with each of the walls being part of the learning area, the requirement is for touch screen/ wall capability with students being able to carry out tasks and activities by touching images/ questions and activities displayed on the walls.

WAES carried out extensive research including visiting several companies to test out their products and sample their immersive classrooms prior to invitation to tender. The knowledge gained from these visits has enabled WAES to define the specifics of this product and installation services.
