Forestry England have a requirement for a framework for specialist ecological surveys in the South England Forest District (SEFD). The aim of this framework is to secure a resource to provide site-specific survey, advice and/or mitigation options for sites within SEFD (predominantly within the Crown Lands of the New Forest) where standard forestry operations, habitat restoration work, planning applications, buildings maintenance and/or Open Forest management activities may impact on rare and/or protected species. We therefore expect suppliers to have demonstrable experience in surveying and assessing the impacts of these operations on these species groups and habitats. This will be evaluated as part of the tender selection process.
