two.2.4) Description of the procurement

Gateshead Council (The Council) would like to ask the market for Expressions of Interest (EOI) in the provision of a cloud-based Management Information System (MIS) which would cover all of our Environmental, Housing and Planning requirements as a Local Authority.

The Council currently use two independent on-premises systems for our Environmental, Housing and Planning requirements and we are looking into the possibility of a single combined cloud-based system which would be able to provide an all-in-one solution. We are therefore interested to find out how many potential suppliers are available in the market at present who could possibly provide us with a fully developed system.

The Council has compiled the following list of services as a basic guide to what areas of Environmental, Housing and Planning we will require covered from any proposed all-in-one solution. Please note that this list is for information purposes only, it is not exhaustive.

• Development Management - considering and recording of planning applications.

• Building Control - considering and recording of building regulations applications.

• Planning and Highways Enforcement - recording investigations and legal actions.

• TLC Searches - responding to requests for information for land searches.

• Private Housing Standards Investigation and Enforcement.

• Premises and Landlord Licensing.

• Noise and Anti-social Behaviour Investigation and Enforcement.

• Taxi Licensing

• Environmental Health - Food and Health and Safety.

• Environmental Protection.

• Trading Standards.

• Disabled Facilities Grants
