Bradford Children & Families Trust are seeking a provider to work with them in relation to a bespoke therapeutic residential placement for a Child Looked After (Child A). Usual placement finding routes have been unsuccessful and as such we are creating this bespoke tender opportunity.
The Trust need a tailored provision in the Bradford district, with a suitably qualified staff team. Child A is 16 years old, and we are looking for a provider to work with us until Child A's 18th birthday as a minimum. There will be a requirement to support care planning through the transition to adulthood ensuring that any associated transfer of care is well planned and managed.
Child A is currently on a DOLS order, with 4:1 staffing. Child As needs are around trauma and attachment difficulties, a history of self-harm, attempts of self-harm whilst expressing suicidal ideation, attacks on staff and missing episodes. Child A has a diagnosis of ADHD and FASD, and accesses CAMHS support weekly. Child A has an inpatient admission previously.
We will be able to meet with providers between 26th January and 9th February 2024 should you want to discuss this with us prior to the competitive tender process. We are seeking this placement as soon as practicably possible. If you do wish to talk to us about this opportunity please email childrenscontractinfo@bradford.gov.uk
