Worthing Borough Council (WBC) is exploring market interest from potential bidders who may be interested to finance/design/build/operate/maintain a heat network in Worthing town centre to assist Worthing Borough Council to meet its declared aim to be carbon-neutral by 2030 and to assist the city of Worthing to decarbonise by 2050.A market engagement event will be held on Thursday 11 March 20210 commencing at 9.00-10:30. At this group event WBC will update potential bidders on the current status of the Worthing Heat Network project. This group event will be followed by a series of one-to-one meetings between WBC and potential bidders. Details of how to register for the group event and how to book a one-to-one meeting will be issued by email following registration of interest to this PIN.Due to the current Covid pandemic the meeting is planned to be hosted via Microsoft Teams. This event will be used as a means to engage with the market, discuss the current status of the project, outline the procurement plan and envisaged timelines in advance of any formal procurement process. Interested providers are required to register their interest and confirm attendance by emailing procurement@adur-worthing.gov.uk by midday 25th February 2021 providing the following information:1) Organisation name;2) Brief description of the services you provide;3) Your web address;4) Name, title and email address of attendees.Logon details of the market engagement will be provided upon confirmation of attendance and provision of the above information. Note: It is envisaged that the procurement will be advertised in the third quarter of 2021.
