Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board has entered into a contract with a provider for the continuation of the GP services for in and
out of hours within Parc Prison. The contract will provide a GP service for In Hours and Out of Hours Services to patients of His Majesty’s
Prison (HMP) & Young Offender Institution (YOI) in Parc Prison.
The contract was identified as falling under the “light touch regime” under Schedule 3 of the Public Services Contracts Regulations 2015
(as amended). A Contract Notice was placed through the Find a Tender Service (FTS) via Sell2Wales on 20th February 2025.
An Invitation to Tender (ITT) was issued under the open procedure via Bravo e-tenderwales. Bidders were required to formally respond to
a qualification, technical, and commercial envelope.
As part of their tender response, bidders were required to submit a response for the GP In Hours / GP Out of Hours Service in line with the
relevant Specification of Requirements.

is to provide an excellent, safe, and effective service to all ensuring the quality of services delivered (and access to services) is of an
equivalent standard to that of the community. This is both in terms of range of interventions available to patients which meet their needs,
and the quality and standard of those interventions. This all contributes towards reducing health inequalities between patients in prison and
in the wider community.
