two.2.4) Description of the procurement

The 25kV traction power supply work required by GCRE involves the design and construction of a new 33kV to 25kV, 50Hz static frequency converter (SFC) traction power supply system to be located inside the compound of the GCRE facility, including, but not limited to:

- The design (outline design, approval-in-principle design and detailed design), integration, supply, manufacture, assembly, delivery to site, construction, erection, installation, testing, commissioning, entry into service, submission of documentation, provision of training, provision of strategic and consumable spare parts, and correction of defects during defects correction period, for the SFC.

- Long Term Service Agreement (LTSA) with a Long Term Service Provider (LTSP) under this procurement for the provision of planned and unplanned maintenance, remote monitoring, technical support and the supply and management of strategic spare parts and consumable spare parts for the SFC for a specified period.

The LTSP will take responsibility for the maintenance of the SFC from the end of the defects correction period under the SFC Contract.

The SFC Contractor may make alternative offers which depart from this specification. Any departures from this specification shall always be subject to prior agreement by GCRE.
