The London Borough of Hillingdon currently provide householders with sacks to recycle a range of materials including, dry-mixed recycling, textiles and food waste. The street cleansing services also utilise a range of sacks through day to day activities.
LBH wishes to appoint a contractor to provide sacks for use with its household recycling, commercial waste and street cleansing services.
The London Borough of Hillingdon wish to consider the benefit of cost versus environmental impact and is therefore inviting tenders on a 'Lot basis'. Bidders are invited to submit a bid for one or both of the following:
(a) Lot 1 – Virgin or pre-consumer recycled material for polythene sacks
(b) Lot 2 – Post consumer recycled material for polythene sacks
LBH intend to award a two plus two plus one (2+2+1) year contract starting in June 2021.

The London Borough of Hillingdon (LBH) Waste Services team collects waste and recycling weekly from more than 100,000 domestic properties and 2,500 commercial premises. It also provides street cleansing services including street sweeping, graffiti removal, fly-tipping and bulky waste clearances, removal of hazardous and offensive waste and emergency call out services as well as two waste and recycling centres. LBH is committed to recycling as much waste as possible and continues to be one of the highest performing London boroughs for doing so.
LBH is wishing to appoint a contractor to provide bags for use with its household recycling, commercial waste and street cleansing services.
