two.2.4) Description of the procurement

The RNN Group are seeking a Student Transport service provision which will allow learners to travel from their home to college sites and back daily, college days only, Monday to Friday and during term time only.

The contract will run for the remainder of the 2020/2021 academic year and for the full duration of the 2021/2022 academic year ending 31st July 2022. There will be an option to extend the contract with 2 x 1 year extensions in place with the maximum end date being the 31st July 2024.

The authority will incorporate a minimum 10 calendar day standstill period at the point that information on the award of the contract is communicated to tenderers. If an appeal regarding the award of contract has not been successfully resolved then the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 provide for aggrieved parties who have been harmed or are at risk of harm by breach of the rules to take action in the High Court. Any such action must be brought promptly (generally within 3 months).
