In 2017, the City Mayor launched CrowdFund Leicester, a donation based civic crowdfunding initiative to connect people, communities, businesses and resources. The initiative has demonstrated the power and potential of crowdfunding and Leicester City Council would like to continue to further enhance the initiative by working with partners to continue to encourage people, communities and organisations across Leicester(shire) to bring forward and support ideas through a crowdfunding platform. As the current contract is nearing the end of its term, Leicester City Council wishes to appoint a single provider to enter into a contract to provide an off the shelf solution to support crowdfunding projects.
