two.1.4) Short description

NHS North Central (NCL) Integrated Care Board (ICB), under delegated commissioning on behalf of NHS England, is seeking to procure GP Primary Medical Services under six new Alternative Primary Medical Services (APMS) Contracts from 1 April 2026.

The practices are located in the boroughs of Camden, Haringey and Islington:

Camden - Brunswick Medical Centre, Camden Health Improvement Practice, Kings Cross Surgery and Somers Town Medical Centre

Haringey – St Ann’s Road Surgery

Islington – The Mitchison Road Surgery and Northern Medical Centre

The contracts will have an initial term of five years (60 months), with a provision to extend for a further 5 + 5 years at the discretion of the ICB and in line with the APMS contract terms.

The full contract term is a maximum of 15 years (180 months).

The aim of the Market Engagement is to notify the market of the intention to procure new contracts, gage the level of interest and seek providers views (market feedback) on key aspects of the procurement and any proposed changes for the services to be delivered, in order to inform the procurement.
