two.1.4) Short description

The Isle of Wight Council's (the ‘Authority’) current vehicle maintenance contracts are due to expire in the summer of 2021, and the Authority is keen to encourage interest from potential suppliers for the new framework opportunity.

The new contract will be set up as a framework agreement giving the option for local eligible organisations to access the framework if they wish.

It is intended that the framework will be divided into various lots and potential suppliers can tender for lots individually or multiple lots. It is intended that the services will include:

• vehicle MOT, servicing and repairs (lot 1);

• bodywork repairs (lot 2);

• mobile services (lot 3), which include:

— windscreen and bodyglass repair and replacement;

— tyres;

— battery replacement;

— minor bodywork repairs — paint dent repairs;

— minor bodywork repairs – paintless dent repairs;

— breakdown recovery and repair service;

— breakdown recovery only.

It is intended that there will be one supplier for lot 1 and up to 3 suppliers for the other lots.
