The purpose of the National Search of Vehicle Training Centre (NSVTC) within Border Force is to provide effective and professional training to Border Force Officers. One of its core functions is the ownership of course design and delivery for the Search of Training Programme.
Border Force NSVTC, is looking to update its capability and address a gap in its Training Programme by purchasing a used passenger coach to undertake and deliver such training.
The procurement of a used passenger coach will upskill Border Force officers Nationwide by improving their knowledge and ability to conduct deep rummage of coaches efficiently and effectively.

The coach will be parked on Home Office property at Old Park Barracks, Whitfield, Nr Dover, Kent CT16 2HQ.
two.2.4) Description of the procurement
Border Force NSVTC are looking to procure 1 (one) used passenger coach to support wider Border Force Strategic Objectives.
It would also support the learning and skills objectives to ensure a better skilled workforce, improving the confidence of staff and lead to better learning outcomes.
The 'training coach' would also support the BF aspirations to become 'best in the world' status, in terms of International capacity and capability building.
As this type of training would be offered to Law Enforcement agencies from both home and abroad. The Border Force Search of Vehicle training centre - Search Skills Academy, needs to be able to attract customers with a professional and well presented 'practical' training resource that would allow delivery of effective searching techniques.
It would also ensure that BF provide effective service to our customers and provide value for money, with the potential for income generation, which could be offset against the cost of investment.
Delivery of the search of coach training programme, would also contribute to the Border Force Strategic objectives in securing the UK borders from the threats posed, which include:
• Deterring and preventing individuals and goods that would harm the national interest from entering the UK
• Facilitating the legitimate movement of individuals and trade to and from the UK
• Protect and collect customs revenues from trade crossing the border
• Provide excellent services to customers
• Provide demonstrable effectiveness, efficiency and value for money.
