The National Polymer Processing Centre at WMG (WMG, NPPC), University of Warwick has a requirement to purchase an optical microscope with transmitted light and hot stage for analytical research onto thermoplastic composites. two.2.4) Description of the procurement
The University of Warwick has a requirement to purchase a new cylindrical cell jelly roll winder for its Battery Scale-Up (BSU) pilot line located within the Energy Innovation Centre (EIC) at WMG. The winder will be used to manufacture rolls comprising anode and cathode electrodes, separators, and tabs, covering the cell dimensional range from 18650 through to 46900 in a single machine. The winder should have the capability to wind pre-cut anode and cathode electrode lengths (with and without pre-welded tabs), as well as anode and cathode electrodes on separate feed rolls (without pre-welded tabs – tabs to be welded automatically using an inline ultrasonic welding system) under tension and with active edge position control to ensure the required roll dimensional accuracy is achieved.
