We have 5 cardiac cath labs at Hammersmith which are managed under contract by an external provider until 31st October 2023. We are currently considering options for the future provision of cath lab services beyond this date so intend to engage with the market via formal preliminary market consultation in accordance with Regulations 40 and 41 of the Public Contract Regulations (PCR) 2015 to understand the level of market interest and to gather information from market suppliers with a view to preparing a public procurement exercise, and to also inform prospective bidders of our procurement plans

Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust provides acute and specialist healthcare for a population of nearly two million people in North West London, and more beyond. We have five hospitals: Charing Cross, Hammersmith, Queen Charlotte’s & Chelsea, St Mary’s and The Western Eye, as well as a growing number of community services. The cardiology service at Trust, based at Hammersmith Hospital (W12 0HS), is a world-class tertiary referral cardiac centre led by specialists with academic interests and leaders in their field. We use cutting-edge clinical innovations to treat and prevent heart conditions and offer a full range of investigations, treatments and management for cardiac conditions.

Our cardiology service treats the following conditions:
• Ischaemic heart disease
• Arrhythmia and electrophysiology
• Cardiac pacemaker and implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD)
• Pulmonary hypertension
• Valvular heart disease
• Structural heart disease
• Cardio-renal disease
• Heart failure
• Hypertension
• Lipid disorders
• Syncope
• Inherited cardiac conditions

We have 5 cardiac cath labs at Hammersmith which are managed under contract by an external provider until 31st October 2023. We are currently considering options for the future provision of cath lab services beyond this date so intend to engage with the market via formal preliminary market consultation in accordance with Regulations 40 and 41 of the Public Contract Regulations (PCR) 2015 to understand the level of market interest and to gather information from market suppliers with a view to preparing a public procurement exercise, and to also inform prospective bidders of our procurement plans.

Completion of the questionnaire will in no way obligate your organisation to participate in any follow-up procurement process. Any information provided as part of this preliminary market consultation will be processed in accordance with applicable confidentiality laws.
