This procurement seeks to commission a Pan-Dorset Advocacy Service for a 3+1+1-year period. The commissioning partners are from Dorset Council (DC), Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council (BCP), NHS Dorset Integrated Care Board (ICB) and Dorset Healthcare.

The commissioning partners are seeking to procure a Pan Dorset Advocacy Service which will deliver the following statutory and non-statutory advocacy:

• Independent Mental Capacity Advocacy (IMCA – LPS / DoLS) Including Safeguarding Advocacy, Litigation Friend and Relevant Persons Representative (RPR)

• Independent Mental Health Advocacy (IMHA)

• Care Act Advocacy – Including Parents who have Care Act eligible needs

• General / Generic Advocacy (non-statutory)

• CHC Advocacy

• Advocacy for Parents during care proceedings who are not Care Act eligible (Children’s Services)

• Carers Advocacy (Not under the Care Act)

To provide an advocacy service to people with health and social care needs including but not limited to mental health needs, learning disability, physical and sensory impairment, autistic spectrum conditions, dementia, acquired brain injury, young people in transition to adult services, carers and parents who are subject to care proceeding but do not meet Care Act eligibility.
