The Community Services for Bedfordshire and Luton are commissioned jointly by BLMK ICB, Bedford Borough, Central Bedfordshire, and Luton borough Councils for Adult (Luton) and Children's services. The aim is to provide a person-centred and outcome focused community service which provides care closer to home whether in clinic, community or home based settings as appropriate. The services will reduce reliance on hospital-based care and ensure that people have access to good quality, safe, locally delivered health services integrated with other local provision.

This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) contract modification notice, under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award. This contract has now been formally modified.

The BLMK ICB Chiefs (Executives) gave approval of this in December 2024 at the scheduled Chiefs (Executives) Meeting. Conflicts of interests have been managed in line with ICB's Conflict of Interest and Standards of Business Conduct Policy.

seven.2.1) Description of the modifications

Nature and extent of the modifications (with indication of possible earlier changes to the contract):

Modification of the original contract to accommodate the following:

- Luton BC 2024/25 contract uplift

- CBC Inequalities funding

- CBC SLT Services

- Paediatric Epilepsy Specialist Nurse

- BBC school practitioner SLT posts

- CBC YOS SALT

- CBC & BBC Aquarius programme

- CBC & BBC Contribution to health provision in the MASH and

- CBC & BBC Additional funding agreed for Oral Health Improvement provision within The 0-19 HCP Service.

There is no change to the original contract dates and term of the contract.

Need for modification brought about by circumstances which a diligent contracting authority/entity could not foresee.

Description of the circumstances which rendered the modification necessary and explanation of the unforeseen nature of these circumstances:

The ICB could not have foreseen these circumstances at the point of contract in 2022. There is no change to the original contract dates and term of the contract.
