Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council is seeking tenders from experienced and reputable providers of recycling services to directly receive waste from its highways department. The waste is generally classed into
• Asphalt planings
• Concrete and masonry
• Soils and sub-base materials
• Vegetation and organic matter
• Hazardous materials (e.g., tar-bound asphalt)
• Packaging (such as pallets)
• Street Furniture, Bollards and signposts
• Gully Waste (only waste collected during drainage works jobs and not planned gully sucking)
Total value (estimated)
- £2,000,000 excluding VAT
- £2,400,000 including VAT
