The Council wish to appoint a partner with experience of working with parent and child(ren) at risk of homelessness who is able to bring additional value to the council funded services for these families and their child(ren).
This Supported Parents Service will be for:
1. Homeless parents with young children up to the age of 5 years (at the point of entry) who would benefit from supported housing.
2. Families requiring housing following a Parent and child assessment placement, assessing the parent’s ability to meet the needs of a child under the Department of Health Framework for the Assessment of Children in Need and their Families (2000), ensuring the three inter- related domains of parenting capacity - children’s needs, family, and environmental factors - are addressed.
