two.2.4) Description of the procurement
The Environment Agencies, Monitoring Laboratories (ML) operate as a business unit of the Environment Agency (EA) and are based at two (2) locations; Starcross and Leeds. The ML has responsibility for the provision of analytical analysis in accordance with the EA’s statutory responsibility for monitoring the environment.
The EA require the supply of up to (4) four Inductively Couple Plasma Optical Emission Spectrophotometer (ICPOES) (the Equipment) across their two (2) laboratories.
The Equipment is required for the analysis of a range of metals in water, sediment, soil, biota and waste materials and are the industry standard for these measurements used across regulatory, water industry and commercial laboratories.
two.2.14) Additional information
The Environment Agency is expecting to follow the Open procedure for this requirement.
It is expected that all Tenderers shall make available the Equipment and personnel for two (2) Working Days between the 24th March and the 2nd May 2025 for the EA to undertake the trial tasks of their proposed Equipment.
The Equipment for evaluation must be available in the UK.
