Provision of Staff Transport services for multiple NHS Trusts in London.

The purpose of the Prior Information Notice (PIN) is to notify the market of an upcoming requirement and also to act as pre-market engagement exercise in the form of a Request For Information (RFI).

The RFI will help inform the specification, the strategy, the structure of the contract and help to identify the optimal route to market.

A potential Route To Market (RTM) is the NHS London Procurement Partnership Non-Emergency Transport and Other Transport Services Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) Category 5: Taxi and Passenger Transport Services Ref: LPP/2019/007

two.2.4) Description of the procurement

The service is for the transportation of staff, mostly within London and the M25, and includes some travel to Kent and other parts of the country. Some historical data can be found in volume data file.

The transport services required includes:
Taxi Services
Home Visit Transportation
Inter-site Staff Transport

The main objectives are to identify and look for innovative ways to work in partnership with a Taxi supplier to reduce the overall transport costs and actively work towards reducing the NHS Carbon Footprint, in line with the Greener NHS strategy for delivering a Net Zero National Health Service https://www.england.nhs.uk/greenernhs/publication/delivering-a-net-zero-national-health-service/

It is currently envisaged that the contract will be for a fully managed service with a single provider to deliver staff only taxi/transport services for the named Trusts.

It is envisaged that the main specification will be standard across the NHS Trusts named below with site specifics to be issued at the time of the procurement. *The London Hospital Trusts that are expected to participate: (*subject to change)
