East Sussex Fire Authority (ESFA) on behalf of East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service is seeking to award a contract for the provision of servicing, maintenance, repair and the full renewal of the appliance bay doors on our fire stations along with a few similar type doors on workshops and similar structure. This contract will be let to support our Estates Department.

It will require ad-hoc emergency attendance at any time of the day or night throughout the year. In certain circumstances, the successful supplier will have to have an engineer on site within 3 hours of being called out.

Contract spend varies annually as along with the core maintenance and repair, it is impacted by and dependent on, the number of doors we may be able to replace when funding allows. Annual spend with the successful supplier could vary considerably. Contract value is a best estimate based on the last three years spend but could be higher or lower during the term of this contract.

List and brief description of conditions

Already are, or be able to become so by contract start, a Registered Approved Supplier of both Hormann and Indupart Doors.

Our Estate was all Hormann doors prior to the current contract but we have been transitioning over the last three years to Indupart replacements. We intend this to continue so the successful supplier will have to be approved to work on both.
