two.2.4) Description of the procurement
The London Borough of Hackney (LBH or the ‘Authority’) is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified contractor, to supply tyres and associated tyre maintenance and support services for the Council’s fleet of 480 directly owned, leased and hired commercial vehicles.
The term of the contract will be for a period of 3 years with an option to extend for a further twelve months subject to ongoing requirements, resources and performance.
The authority's requirements for this service span a variety of services including roadside support, supply and fitting of new and remoulded tyres and repair of tyres. In order to operate a seamless, coordinated approach to tyres and tyres services, the Authority is looking to appoint a single contractor to provide all elements of the service.
Subcontracting is acceptable, but the bidding supplier will be responsible for ensuring smooth and effective delivery of the contract
