This contract modification will fund a Clinical Specialist Paediatric Physiotherapy Service to work alongside the existing Paediatric Respiratory Service, with the aim of improving asthma care for children and young people across Norfolk and Waveney.
The variation provides £14,000 in non-recurrent funding to uplift an existing Band 7 Paediatric Physiotherapy post to a 1.4 WTE Band 8a Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist for a 12-month period from the employee's start date. This project is for 12 months only and there is no expectation that the NNUH will continue the initiative after this time.

The modification does not render the contract or framework agreement materially different in character and the cumulative change in the lifetime value of the contract or framework agreement since it was entered into or concluded is less than 25% of the lifetime value of the original contract or framework agreement when it was entered into or concluded.
It is permissible in line with Section 13 - 2A and 2B (ii) of The Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023.
