The pupils who attend the PRU have severe and complex needs and can be highly challenging pupils in terms of their behaviour and attitudes to learning.

The aim of the framework is to provide additional curriculum and vocational support for pupils in the secondary phase of Swansea PRU. These include pupils who are aged from 13 – 16 and who represent some of the most challenging young people in the Authority; in order to nurture a positive experience of full-time education by developing a unique programme of support bespoke to each young person.
